Working as a team is my major objective and all ups and downs must be faced together with full cooperation with each other starting from the CEO to the office boy. When recession hits, it is time to hold the company more firmly and all the employees must feel at home, not just as a mere object and in order to maintain this care must be taken to chose the right people to be the building blocks of your company so that at such times there is no remove the unwanted people as there would be no unwanted people if they are filtered properly and proper work is assigned to them, still the people should be assessed based on their productivity to utilize them to the maximum.
My first step would be to attain the confidence of all my employees so that they too realize that it is OUR problem! I would try my level best not to hamper the bonus as this step would discourage their morale, rather would focus on cutting on the hidden expense such as usage of too much of unwanted stationary and then wasting them, the bond paper should be utilized to the last scrap because paper consumes a major deal of money, though many fail to realize it. The paper quality too can be compromised to certain levels. I would also strongly focus on the consumption of electricity that makes a great difference as thousands of PCs are left on standby, I would advise them all to shut them down and the lights, fans, ACs etc should be turned off when not in use. The benchmark strength cannot be left unhampered at such a point and the people must compromise, but there should be care that people who are fired should be as less as possible. The outings and entertainment should not be carried out that often, but if manageable again decreasing the standards and the expenses shouldn’t be a major deal. Companies spend a substantial sum on the transport, so proper Transport analysis has to be performed and rather than using cabs, shuttles should replace them. A revolution of riding by bicycle is something I would strongly be impressed by if the employees from short distance could manage it as its high time we should care about our environment too. Another strategic management would be directing the business to other countries like choosing any similar country that may yield good profits, although this involves a risk, but if it works then the company has hopes of coping up with the situation
A constant eye on the share market and keeping an efficient company advisor can make us help coping up with the situations and work accordingly as the time demands.

BPOs
India is a country known for its skilled human resources. The availability of cost effective labor, that is well educated and well-developed communication infrastructure and the efficiency in the software sector make India a favorite destination for the BPO industry.
One of the fastest growing segments, Business Process Outsourcing or BPO has attracted youngsters in India to join the industry. With good knowledge and sharp minds, they work with a flexibility to serve their clients and this encourages a great demand for Indian employees and this sector has miraculously been a sensation that has changed the concept of employment in India and this sector has also contributed significantly in the Economical Progress of our country. “The GDP of our nation is on a high (2nd to be more precise, after China), mainly because of the ITES sector and thousands of young guns who work late nights for foreign customers.”
There is a lot more to learn than appreciating the technology and the strategies of globalizing the whole world and the way labor is utilized effectively and even if Indians are underpaid but BPO s have enabled youngsters to support their lives with a decently paid job and enhancing on their skills of management and face the challenges at an international level at a very young age. A majority of the employees are very happy with the life they enjoy there as they see their growing curves and by the time they reach a decent age, they have much more work experience than others that makes them a better contender. However I personally do not believe in these sectors as youngsters are being exploited and they limit themselves by focusing in these well paid jobs but they fail to visualize that there remains very little scopes to grow and the world outside is much larger than what they think it to be. BPO s should have an age limit i.e after 22 years or so and the younger ones should be allowed to work on part time basis to strike the balance. Unfortunately BPOs have become a final destination for many frustrated and non- focused people who do not know where to reach and thus land up here with no sense of job satisfaction neither with a respect for their job, but just keep working with their mouth shut while the western countries throw money on their face n extract as much as possible, thus they landing up with no life other than working under strenuous conditions endlessly and all they have is mega bucks.
Another aspect is the graveyard shifts that ruin the biological clock of the individuals that to at a very young age that might not be evident then, but later pays off and whatever big money was made, all goes in medical expenses unfortunately. With the global recession, the BPO sector is again majorly affected with many losing their jobs and when it comes to this sector, the job security never prevails as the company is the ultimate decision maker and more than respecting their employees, all they understand is shifting to places where they can make more profits, thus where do you expect to have a sense of belonging in such a firm?

St. Joseph’s College- an Institution that has maintained its mission of “Fide et Labore“ all over the globe and standing as a pillar laying the foundations of many prominent personalities ranging from cricketers to politicians, from actors to active civil servants and they all carry the charisma of a Josephite where the first thing we are taught is to respect out moral values. I didn’t have to battle an eyelid to chose the college which has always had its own trademark and always ranked 1 of the top 10 colleges in India.
College becomes our second home and after you become a member of this family, all you do is experience an ongoing process of learning that seems to have no end. When its time to bid adios to this college that nurtured me in the developing age of a rebellious teenage to a responsible individual now, I pause to realize what enormous contribution it has had in my life both in terms of learning in academics as well as personally. The trend of bunking college surprisingly can’t sustain in our college and it is so disciplined that nobody who fools around will have a place. We did complain in our first year wondering why is it as good as a military school, but now I respect this college for believing in its own ideas and being an example in itself controlling thousands of students yet no student has had the courage of strikes or being misbehaved. This is a huge achievement for a college where everything is at its place and spick and span. I learnt self discipline from my college and also saw the sincerity with which even the staff and teachers worked and no one here understands the term ”postpone” as time is respected more than anything else. Thus learning Time Management also became strength for me and this is like a treasure for me now. St.Joseph’s College was also a place where we leant the freedom one gets in Science where we are not asked to believe the teachers blindly, rather the expert faculty involve us in a lot of self learning and induce deeper into a subject to strongly build us as Scientists from deep within. The laboratories are always open for us and any valid project is supported where it’s your own piece of craft and you enjoy all the space to innovate. The English Department too has played a major role in shaping our thoughts especially in Critical Analysis with writings on various aspects of the society like caste system, Gender inequality, slavery, Women atrocities and we were also laid hands on various classics to realize the theme of that age and how mockery, sarcasm etc were powerful tools. Discovering more about your own self after searching for many meanings from deep within, and knowing yourself is a very quality every individual needs to posess. This was shaped by my College whom I owe much more than what a college does for a student, but this college has taught me to head with so many groups being active in our college, to take up responsibilities, challenges, think more than what we see and to focus on being content personally more than focusing on earning and earning that leads us nowhere. I still remember the statement of our principal,” Do not forget, we are educated as Josephites to serve the nation, not our personal luxury and that’s a true Josephite who works without expecting selfish results”

The Recession Proof BioTechnology Sector- This is what is addressed to the Biotech sector since recession couldn’t hit much when it comes to health care, just the way education sector remains the least affected. It is suggested that one sector investors should take an interest in during these difficult times in the economy are biotechs. Some biotechnology stocks should do extremely well, since along with food & consumer staples, health care is a necessity for our well-being and remains safe in the stock market. President Obama's health care reform should bring much needed funding to advance personalized medicine and new technologies, both in developing new treatments, and new diagnostic tools and while most industries are battening down the hatches to see out the financial storms, biotechnology is thriving since the sector is well-placed to ride out the storm as biotech is a massive field comprising environment biotechnology to bio-fuels, from vaccines to genetically modified plants. Its future looks even more secure as the world turns to its research expertise for help in surviving and combating bioterrorism.
Post-11 September, priorities have changed and this proves as a blessing for the Biotech sector. A anti-terrorism bill going through Congress contains $3bn for research funding, dedicating $519M to vaccines alone. This bill should become law by early next year, giving way to hopes for the Biotech companies to over come the blow of recession.
Tracing the figures, By 2001, employment had grown to 174,000 in Biotech Sector. Total revenues generated in this sector grew from $8 billion to $25 billion during that timeframe. Research-and-development expenditures increased from $5 billion to $14 billion. And while the industry as a whole is still losing money because of ongoing research, that loss now represents a much smaller portion of total revenues!

Many of the companies have been around for 5-10 years and haven’t been profitable since their inception. As commented by an eminent CEO “You don’t really have a business unless you have a product to sell and are profitable.” I suspect that many of these so-called biotechnology “companies” will go out of business—and their stock prices.not because of the recession—but because they were unable to develop financially-viable products or services.”While lay offs and cost-cutting measures are unavoidable by the many juvenile Biotech companies , it is strictly not implying that it is due to recession only as many companies use this opportunity to remove the extra employees and the unproductive ones, while the small companies that were on shaky ground before the recession even began. Some of the companies that were mentioned included: Titan Pharmaceuticals, Pressure BioSciences, Insite Vision, WuXi PharmaTech Cayman and Targeted Genetics—not exactly titans (pardon the wordplay) of the biotechnology industry. Biotechs with less than six months of cash on hand and few clinical programs will be hit the hardest. But while times may be tough now, this period of struggle could good for the industry's future. Biotechs that don't have much to offer won't survive the economic crisis, but stronger, better companies ripe for investment will emerge in the end. The same rule applies here. The companies having liquid cash will survive and make the most out of recession and Biotech companies having a great source of fund from the Government and pharma companies having large cash in hand, doesn’t seem to be getting affected comparatively.

Titan Pharmaceuticals says it is cutting its workforce by 40 percent as it focuses on "reducing all current clinical and manufacturing development activities to the minimal level necessary to continue its efforts to realize the potential value of its assets” Targeted Genetics has cut its payroll by 25 percent and "realigned its product development priorities to focus on its ocular and neurological product candidates and its first use of expressed RNAi. WuXi PharmaTech Cayman plans to discontinue its U.S. biologics manufacturing operations and lay off about 100 workers at its Philadelphia facility. While many Biotech Companies enjoy unaffected by the recession many others are teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. Other biotechs are cutting staff and non-essential drug development programs to preserve cash. This means that essential early-stage research--the type of research needed to find the next big breakthrough--isn't getting done. " so we expect a bit of slowdown in terms of Research in few companies.
However as consumers' attitudes toward biotechnology products improve, with the growth of awareness, the industry is reaping long-awaited rewards, expecting to grow by 12.9 percent this year. There is improved demand for medical and pharmaceutical products to cope with an ageing, and ailing along with the technological advancement.
Rising demand for biofuels is good news for the biotechnology sector, with the Department of Energy estimating ethanol usage could reduce U.S. petroleum-derived fuel consumption by up to 30 percent by 2030. The biotechnology sector has allowed the U.S. farming industry to rapidly increase its supply of corn and soybeans the main inputs into biofuels by developing genetically-modified seeds which are resistant to pests and drought. And by boosting farm productivity, biotechnology plans a crucial role in ensuring that biofuel production targets are met. Similarly, the need for genetically modified plants is also paid attention to with nutrition being a major concern these days and these investments can help the nations save on the other expenses.

With a tremendous zeal for Science and to own an Industry based on it, I chose the combination of Biology and technology- Biotechnology that paved a path for me to grab my ultimate dream.
The world of Biotechnology is massive and seems endless and can handle any sort of a problem starting from bioleaching (use of bacteria to clean the oil spills) to developing nutritious crops. Ranging from combating diseases to pollution this sector can answer all the problems and the intensive research work prior to that is a major interest for me. I look forward to take up my Masters in an industrial Biotechnology sector to learn both the science and how the corporate world functions. Then I intend to per sue my research in the sector of pharmaceuticals or food science and foster an innovative product by genetically modifying few organisms and present a consumer friendly commodity that can be affordable for the common mass for a better living aiming to be a blessing especially to the ignored ones.
Every year thousands of discoveries occur but only a few are patented and out of which only a very minimal percentage of industries have been successful in furnishing their own purpose and stand firmly. This fact had disturbed me as then there was no use of spending the enormous amount of money, time and efforts if it is not a favorable outcome. The first required quality is Leadership to head the responsibilities and take the initiative with a constant effort of being updated with the trends and technology and always being open to ideas and creativity. I would look forward to work on these and set up an Enterprise manufacturing the aftermath of my research work. My goal is to start a revolution and device products that have lesser of side effects and I have a long way to go in discovering such an effect, but dedication and focus answers it all. The other aspect would be spreading awareness amongst people since even in this world of technology, more than 80% people are ignorant about the diseases and their precautions. I would like to initiate a trend in spreading awareness amongst the mass

Research Project on study of UTI in Diabetic Patients:
Under the Guidance of Professor Betty Daniel who is known for her abundant knowledge and the experiences she has had in the field of Biological Sciences. In our college she is the most ideal mentor with her only objective of teaching is to impart real quality education and accept no theories, nut to apply logical reasoning. Anybody interested in the world of DNA and even Microorganisms would marvel at the way these tiny molecules and organisms work, and how beautiful their mechanisms are and this would automatically make one love and learn more and more just to enjoy and get fascinated how perfectly they are all regulated. Betty Daniel also given a new platform to the students of undergraduate level by giving them ideas and a platform to come up with a real research project that usually is encouraged at the Masters level in our current educational system, and I too happened to join Ma’am under a project on Urinary Tract Infection in Diabetic Patients as not much of research has been done in this area while this infection is affecting around 40% of the Diabetic Patients and there aren’t much of remedies other than the few antibiotics. These factors made it more interesting to work on the bacteria responsible for this infection especially in the Diabetic Patients and to determine the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of 10 antibiotics for a particular strain majorly responsible for the infection. Various Herbal extracts were also used at different concentrations to test their effect against the same Bacterial Strain.
The initial step involved collection of Urine samples from various clinics from the Diabetic Patients and culturing them on the High Chrome UTI Agar to determine the different UTI causing Bacteria that get a color depending on which strain it is, due to the High Chrome medium. This is further confirmed by a series of Biochemical tests. A survey is conducted on these patients and the other necessary details are taken with special emphasis on the recurrence of UTI since a major problem with these bacteria is its ability to re-infect once it has been successful in infecting, especially in women. After 24 hours incubation, the bacterial count helps us find out if the individual is infected. After collecting 100 samples it was found that the major bacteria infecting was Staphylococcus and Escherichia coli. And women were more prone to the infection comprising 30% of the infections while male comprised only 17% of the total infected patients. There was high risk of UTI in patients with high cholesterol and with renal disorders and the age group of 30-45 years showed initial onset of the infection while the people above 50 years suffered a recurrent infection. Smoking and Drinking also showed a direct relationship with the infection, reasons still unknown but assuming that these lead to High Blood Pressure further causing Diabetes and this high sugar levels act as a source of nutrition for the bacteria to grow.
Pseudomonas aerogenesa is another common bacterium infecting the diabetic patients. This bacteria was inoculated in the different herbal extracts used in varying concentrations and after incubation for 24 hours, the turbidity is measured by taking the nephlometric readings and more turbidity readings imply lesser effect of the herbs on the bacteria. The initial step involved collection of Urine samples from various clinics from the Diabetic Patients and culturing them on the High Chrome UTI Agar to determine the different UTI causing Bacteria that get a color depending on which strain it is, due to the High Chrome medium. This is further confirmed by a series of Biochemical tests. A survey is conducted on these patients and the other necessary details are taken with special emphasis on the recurrence of UTI since a major problem with these bacteria is its ability to re-infect once it has been successful in infecting, especially in women. After 24 hours incubation, the bacterial count helps us find out if the individual is infected. After collecting 100 samples it was found that the major bacteria infecting was Staphylococcus and Escherichia coli. And women were more prone to the infection comprising 30% of the infections while male comprised only 17% of the total infected patients. There was high risk of UTI in patients with high cholesterol and with renal disorders and the age group of 30-45 years showed initial onset of the infection while the people above 50 years suffered a recurrent infection. Smoking and Drinking also showed a direct relationship with the infection, reasons still unknown but assuming that these lead to High Blood Pressure further causing Diabetes and this high sugar levels act as a source of nutrition for the bacteria to grow.
Pseudomonas aerogenesa is another common bacterium infecting the diabetic patients. The 44th President of The United States Of America, the First Black to hold this Power- Mr. Barack Obama is expected to instantly mend all the blunders Bush has made in showing America one of the worst days ever in History by rendering America Powerless. Obama chosen as a President clearly implies that people in America needed a real “Change” in all aspects starting from Economical, social, political to communal to even ethical and this man is expected to take care of what America de facto needs. This man winning hearts of the millions of people stands to take the responsibility and with his excellent oratory skills, it wasn’t too hard for him to gather the Millions of people when it was freezing below 0 degrees and marked the maximum crowd ever in the History on his oath taking ceremony.
Obama is more of a dream merchant for the whole Nation and like any other individual hoping to see a better face of America, I too have much of hopes from this tech savvy along with his new ideas and strong faiths and wish to see all his promises being implemented than remembering him only as a great orator. Obama did do things differently, starting from a low budget internet-driven campaign, using the web to secure millions through small campaign contributions. His campaign even included advertising in video games in a new effort to reach out to young voters. With his approach to build up a new website is expected to epitomize the change in approach and becoming a portal for “interactive government” and “open source democracy”, Mr. Obama has already utilized the web to sweep to power and phone his message to a younger audience previously disengaged with politics and his effort to reach each and every Individual really makes him a very popular President who has a burden of many hopes and dreams especially after the terrible economic crisis in USA where people have all lost homes, jobs and the whole globe is suffering the consequence.
I personally think world politics may change for good, not the way the people expect it to happen as soon as Obama enters his office, but his impressive statement, “your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist” does leave a remark that the folly that Bush has committed at the stake of its millions of soldiers and the dollars spent in the wars, Obama might not follow the same track while the whole world awaits for the change. His concern for each and every individual and keeping the United States- United was evident in his speech. “It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America” I expect him to focus his attention on the global crisis and for all those who have lost their jobs for no fault of theirs as he comments, “there are mothers and fathers who will lie awake after their children fall asleep and wonder how they'll make the mortgage, or pay their doctor's bills, or save enough for college. There is new energy to harness and new jobs to be created; new schools to build and threats to meet and alliances to repair”
Obama's fantastic oratory skills and his clarity of visions catapulted him into the prominent figures in Democratic Party as well as in US national politics. He accepts that the economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but gives hopes that it is possible to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered, their health care is too costlier their schools fail too many and each day brings further evidence that the ways they use energy strengthen their adversaries and threaten their planet, considering these issues, Obama proves to be one who faces situations the way they are and accepts challenges to improve them, the deeper meaning lays that when a man accepts, he improves and I too expect Obama to induce the real Improvement!
His promises with strong emphasis on empowering America, he quotes “The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act - not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. And all this we will do.” If only these few words are kept, The United States of America will regain its “Golden Era” as Obama in his very crisp statements takes care of all the issues. He has patience and bearing and being a good leader, he can strike a new revolution and all he demands is courage from people to face the obstacles, pretty realistic and with his promises seemingly transparent, the Political system might get a new face breaking the conventions and while the power lay in few people’s hands who decide what needs to be done and what not, now we expect the Political group to speak up and listen to the people where each and every division of people get their rights and the Political system works for them as a whole. Choosing a Black for the First time, America really has broken through all racial discriminations while Obama honestly quotes on his oath taking ceremony, “This day marks the beginning of a new era and the beginning of a new period of all races coming together in forces in making our nation stronger and better. I believe all Americans will begin to put aside all prejudices. We are indeed a nation of new beginnings.” And I too await to see all his promises to be converted to actions and ease the whole world of this terrible period of turmoil and I think its too early to predict unless we really feel the difference.

Afghanistan and Taliban Issue?
Afghanistan, whenever I come across this country, either in newspapers of even movies, it’s that dry parched land with no peace while humanity suffers to the extremes, with inadequate facility, lack of education, where bombs shower like rains and every child after 12 knows how to use the gun there are many such little boys used as suicide bombers by convincing them that when they press the switch, flowers will fall on them. While thousands stand in Afghanistan in the name of Jihaad, destroying homes and killing innocent lives, this state of immense tumult dates back from the Russian Invasion and now by the ISAF, however the local people comment that the Russians came as occupiers but they respected the culture, the religion and traditions of the country. NATO does not have any respect for any human being or human rights. It's like (being invited to) a friendly dinner where they poison you. The Russians were not killing innocent men, women and children and old people. If they were fighting, it was fighting face to face. Now NATO and the Americans are bombarding villages, and they don't care who is killed." Their views are echoed among members of the international community in Kabul. "The foreign forces were seen two years ago as liberators; now they're seen as occupiers,"- this is the present state of Afghanistan who is slapped from all the sides even if they have no say in anything while US forces come and rule, killing the innocent people just to vent the anger of their incapability to find Osama Bin Laden, even if Afghanistan has claimed that he is just a guest, but even if there is no proof, US continues to bombard while Taliban resists while the common mass suffers by losing their homes, family members, women lose their freedom, girls aren’t allowed to go to school and the situation is deeply grievous. The rising discontent is exacerbated by soaring food prices and the Government's failure to translate the billions of aid dollars into factories, jobs or economic opportunities for ordinary Afghans.

Women were also prohibited from leaving their home without a male relative—those that did so risked being beaten, even shot, by officers of the "ministry for the protection of virtue and prevention of vice." A woman caught wearing fingernail polish may have had her fingertips chopped off. All these heights of inhumanity, according to the Taliban, was to safeguard women and their honor.

The Taliban's strongest opposition came from the Northern Alliance, which held the Northeast corner of the country (about 10% of Afghanistan). The Northern Alliance comprises numerous anti-Taliban factions. Generally, the factions break down according to religion and ethnicity. While the Taliban is made up mostly Sunni Muslim Pashtuns (also referred to as Pathans), the Northern Alliance includes Tajiks, Hazara, Uzbeks, and Turkmen. The Hazara, and some other smaller ethnic groups, are Shiites. The Ismaili community, which suffered in Taliban-occupied areas, also supports the Northern Alliance. Although the Taliban called for a negotiated end to the civil war, they continued to mount new offensives. In September 2001, the leader of the Northern Alliance, Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud, died from wounds suffered in a suicide bombing, allegedly carried out by al-Qaeda, a terrorist organization with close ties to the Taliban.
The Taliban was outrushed from power in December 2001 by the U.S. military and Afghani opposition forces in response to the September 11, 200, terrorist attack on the U.S. The initial attack removed the Taliban from power, but Taliban forces have since regained some strength. The war has been less successful in achieving the goal of restricting al-Qaeda's movement. Since 2006, Afghanistan has seen threats to its stability from increased Taliban-led insurgent activity, record-high levels of illegal drug production, especially after the US invasion, now making Afghanistan the largest producer of opium in the world. While the Government remains fragile, thousands of lives being lost, the U.S. military Operation Enduring Freedom, was launched by the United States with the United Kingdom in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks. The stated purpose of the invasion was to capture Osama bin Laden, destroy al-Qaeda, and remove the Taliban regime which had provided support and safe harbor to al-Qaeda. The United States' Bush Doctrine stated that, as policy, it would not distinguish between al-Qaeda and nations that harbor them but even after years, the war has been unsuccessful in its primary purpose of capturing Osama bin Laden while the resources are being drained out just in search of a single person and the innocent Afghans are paying a heavy cost for it.
President Bush issued an ultimatum demanding that the Taliban government of Afghanistan:
• deliver al-Qaeda leaders located in Afghanistan to the United States authorities
• release all imprisoned foreign nationals, including American citizens[31]
• protect foreign journalists, diplomats, and aid workers in Afghanistan
• close terrorist training camps in Afghanistan and "hand over every terrorist and every person and their support structure to appropriate authorities"
• give the United States full access to terrorist training camps to verify their closure

This war between two individuals and in a quest to fight back and prove the strength seems very vague while US goes on spending millions of dollars uselessly like the majority of the world, I too personally feel, US should drawback its military forces and more than proving its strength by killing more, it should be used in the constructive measures and continue providing relief to the innocent Afghans by proving food and refuge. This war between two individuals and in a quest to fight back and prove the strength seems very vague while US goes on spending millions of dollars uselessly like the majority of the world, I too personally feel, US should drawback its military forces and more than proving its strength by killing more, it should be used in the constructive measures and continue providing relief to the innocent Afghans by proving food and refuge. Even The United Nations World Food Programme temporarily suspended activities within Afghanistan at the beginning of the bombing attacks but it resumed them after the fall of the Taliban.
Babri Masjid!!
The Babri Mosque or Mosque of Babur was a mosque constructed by order of the first Mughal emperor of India, Babur, in Ayodhya in the 16th century. The mosque stood on Ramkot ("Rama's fort") Hill. It was destroyed by Hindu nationalists,[ as many as 150,000, during a planned ceremony on December 6, 1992 despite a commitment to the Indian Supreme Court that the mosque would not be harmed. Hindu nationalists believe that Babur's commander-in-chief Mir Baki destroyed an existing temple at the site, which Hindus believe was the temple built to commemorate the birthplace of Rama, the ruler of Ayodhya. Interestingly the mosque shared a wall with a Rama Temple. Muslims had their feelings attached with the Babri Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Uttar Pradesh, a state in India with around 31 million Muslims.
Interestingly, the communal feelings weren’t all this strong amongst the people till the various political parties interfered. Ayodhya, a pilgrimage site for Hindus has an annual fair attended by over 500,000 people of both faiths; many devotees came during the annual Ram festival to drink from the water well in the Babri Courtyard. Hindu pilgrims also believed that the Babri water well was the original well in the Ram Temple under the mosque. Ayodhya Muslims believed that the well was a gift from God. Muslim emperor Babur came down from Ferghana in 1527 and overcame the Hindu King. His general, Mir Baqi. destroyed this temple at Ayodhya, built by the Hindus to commemorate Rama. Mir Baqi built a mosque at the site of the destroyed temple. This was called the Babri Masjid Mosque, named after King Babar. Muslims source say that neither history nor fact can come to prove the Hindu case as claimed above. They claim that is clear that the allegations, on which, the demands of RSS, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Hindu Munnani are based for laying claim to Babri Masjid are biased against Islam. Up to a certain time in 1855, both the Hindus and Muslims used to worship in the same building. But since the Mutiny 1857, an outer enclosure has been put up in front of the Masjid and the Hindus forbidden access to the inner yard.
The religious issues were more immature evident from events like on mid-night of December 22,1949, when the police guards were asleep, idols of Rama and Sita were quietly brought into the Masjid and were planted. This further agitated the Muslims too and this quest to occupy the “Land of God” never seemed to end while the Political Parties continued to bring these differences for their selfish motives and breaking up the nation becomes an easy deal for them just to win few more votes. This is how our Government runs and the legend continues while rather than working on mending the divided nation, this division helps them to gain the power while the Hindu- Muslim conflicts continue as igniting the crowd in the name of Religion is the easiest way out since people can blindly believe in anything in the name of Religion.

While the Vishwa Hindu Parishad believed this act to be necessary to maintain their objectives to consolidate and strengthen the Hindu Society and it is sad that they name it as an act to protect, promote and propagate Hindu values of life, the ethical and the spiritual in the context of modern times.

There too are a majority of Muslims, but these differences can never help in the development of the nation while our leaders are busy fighting on petty things, we are and will always remain a “Developing Nation”!

Is Manmohan singh a better prime minister or a better Finance Minister?
Manmohan singh- the Prime minister of India, is a former Finance Minister and is considered an authority on Finance and Economy. This man known for his incredibly excellent performance in whatever he undertook and starting from his college, he always has been a brilliant student and enjoyed respectable positions starting from being a teacher in Delhi University, Jawaharlal University and he at organizations like the International Monetary Fund and the United Nations as an economist. 1982, he was appointed as the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India and held the post till 1985. He went on to become the deputy chairman of the Planning Commission of India.
During his tenure as the Finance Minister, chosen by P.V Narsimha Rao, he proved his skills and was widely credited for initiating economic reforms in India in 1991 which resulted in the end of the infamous Licence Raj system. At the time, India was facing an economic crisis. Rao and Singh decided to open-up the Indian economy and change the socialist economic system to a capitalist economy. The economic reform package included dismantling License Raj that made it difficult for private businesses to exist and prosper, removal of many obstacles for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and initiating the process of the privatization of public sector companies. These economic reforms are credited with bringing high levels of economic growth in India, and changing the annual 3%, to an average of 8-9% economic growth in the following years, all possible because of the blessing Manmohan Singh was and he was in power at the right time. He's a top notch economist and some of the decisions he has made resemble that of the leaders of small East Asian countries like Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and his work tact is flexible and accommodating.
I personally feel this man with him immense knowledge and thorough understanding about the Finance sector is meant for the chair involved with intellectuals and this gentle man with his soft spoken personality suits more as a Finance Minister, than go about preaching “netagiri” that has become an inevitable part of the Indian Government where politics has got a new meaning involving all dirty tricks than running the Government with honesty and integrity.
P. Chidambaram on moving from his position of Finance Minister to Home Minister also commented on Manmohan Singh’s capabilities that.” The Prime Minister can handle the finance portfolio far better than anyone.” He asserted that no one could steer the economy better than Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, given his exceptional background, especially in such a difficult year of global financial crisis. “There is unfinished work in this Ministry [Finance]. The whole country is extremely reassured The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India Secretary General D S Rawat said that the "industrial confidence would get a boost" with the Prime Minister retaining the charge of the Finance Ministry.
Am sure 90% of the country’s populated on would agree to this man and trust this man’s potentials after all the changes he has brought in developing the Economy of our country especially after his tremendous experience working at top levels both at international as well as national standards as an Economist.
After the 2004 general elections, the Indian National Congress stunned the incumbent National Democratic Alliance (NDA) by becoming the political party with the single largest number of seats in the Lok Sabha. In a surprise move, United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi declared Manmohan Singh, a technocrat, as the UPA candidate for the Prime Minister post. Despite the fact that Singh had never won a Lok Sabha seat, he acquired this power just to render him as puppet in the hands of Sonia Gandhi while he can’t take any decision on his own without consulting Mrs. Gandhi. Moreover half the population complains that it was Sonia Gandhi whom they voted for, not Manmohan Singh.F
Moreover PM Manmohan Singh has never been that a leader as he worked as FM under the cloud of PV NarsimhaRao an now he is working under the Sonia Gandhi and being a PM one cannot just fade away in the background that a FM can afford working on the table in office, but PM has very less public interfaces while Sonia Gandhi works on the war front and Manmohan Singh before visiting any place needs Sonia Gandhi along with him, even to visit the bomb blast sites in Assam recently.
Being a PM also requires a person’s knowledge on the social, political issues but this man with his strong hold in the Economical issues can’t actually comment on the corruption, secularism, criminals, because it was never his concern the way any political leader would look at as being an Economist he would focus on reforms to develop the Agriculture, Industrialization,etc., just the way it would be to expect a Maths teacher to teach Politics. Moreover we all have noticed the way he breaks down when any crisis hits our country, now if the leader of the Nation is all shattered seeing a problem, what is the mass expected to do?

When asked about the bomb blasts, he commented in a press conference that he can comment anything as it will be wrong in the time being!!! Now who expects the PM to speak these when there is ultimate chaos all over the country? Another immature incident is Prime Minister’s nag with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani saying he had made “at least three attempts to topple our government… but on each occasion his astrologers have misled him” Advani had repeatedly described him as the “weakest prime minister” and a “nikamma (useless) PM”, Manmohan Singh said with uncharacteristic vitriol: “At his ripe old age (Advani is 81), I do not expect Shri Advani to change his thinking. But for his sake and India’s sake, I urge him at least to change his astrologers so that he gets more accurate predictions of things to come.” A gentle man like this is preferable in the back door sitting with the Economic issues and he definitely stood far away by staying away being polite and humble, very much unlike the other political leaders who know how to bark and fight back! But the irony is ever since Manmohan Singh is the PM, we are hardly aware of his existence while there seems to be no major improvement in our nation.

If I was the president of America instead of Obama...
President of the United States of America- this identity means “Ultimate Power” as the whole world is confined around the Super Power- USA. Along with power comes up responsibility and if I was the President of the US, there would be few changes in all areas I would like to bring about.
The few changes to look at would be first the Educational System that has degraded with time and America once known for its excellent education standards, now is spliced between the Private and Public schools while the little kids even if at the same age, enjoy a great difference in the standards of teaching and this divides the young ones with an air of superiority and this brings the initial difference that makes it difficult to unite the nation as 1, and the basics lay here. The nations offering free education impart quality education, while teachers have the right attitude to teach than make money as a Business, and there is more of practical knowledge that needs to be imparted than just believing whatever is said and I would make sure each and every citizen knows how to read and write. Rather than only taking care of only the beaming world, I would focus on every nook and corner to reach out every single person and assure him a home to stay.
The rate of foreign students being mysteriously murdered in the span of 1 year is not a very light incident and I would take care of securing the students, especially the foreign and the judiciary would be stricter and as the crime rate is elevating especially with a lot of youth being in it, I would make the security and the Police department more stronger with latest aids in terms of technology and an effective Intelligence team.
War on Drugs: Another major problem is the amount of drug abuse and like the late Harry Browne used to say, "America needs to end its insane war on drugs." The horrible damage the "War on Drugs" has done to America is already much greater than most realize. It has populated our prisons with people that have done no crime against anyone while drugs worth millions of dollars are being consumed rendering the youth of USA incapable while they lead their life to death..
Health: Health issues is another neglected sector where people these days prefer flying to cheaper nations to avail their medical treatment, even if they have a medical insurance back in USA. The bitter truth is thatA third of college graduates say they or a family member skipped recommended medical care because of cost.

• People of color, including 75 percent of African Americans and 76 percent of Latinos, are especially likely to voice dissatisfaction with health care quality.
• And a shocking 84 percent predict the standard of living will be worse for the next generation.

Being the President I would take care to avail medical facilities at a cheaper rate after being subsidized by the Government and the Insurance policies need to be revised, covering all conditions, else they will not be allowed to make Business. We also need to focus on the new health disorders like lack of sleep that is America’s top health problem. It is estimated that nearly half of all Americans have difficulty in sleeping. Eye disease is continuously increasing among the Americans over the last few years. Watching too much TV, music videos and suffering from sleeplessness have resulted in eye disease. Treatment to such chronic problems should be provided free and there must be more research encouraged in the advent of the new diseases with changing environmental conditions.
Research: The American Scientists also find more opportunities in Singapore to carry out the much debated stem cell research, I would like to encourage our scientists to avail all the facilities and funds to carry on with the R&D and maintaining the best standards in terms of Research as always. I would also like to encourage the alternative sources of biofuel, thus ending the rat race for the fossil fuels that already have marked USA as one of the most polluted nations, and thus look for non polluting renewable sources. The oceans are being largely polluted, oil spills can be treated by Bioleaching, and the other wastes can also be treated similarly by encouraging research on genetically modified microbes.
The use of corn should be reduced as that is leading to corn crisis being unavailable as a source of food. Being a super power, it is our responsibility to take care of other nations too, and promoting Genetically modified crops can solve many problems like lack of nutritious food in the underdeveloped nations and even these can be modified as per the requirements.
Islam: Muslims now number over three-million people in America, Muslims, because of the Koran, do not respect non-Muslims. Koran says that Muslims are superior to non-Muslims, this brings the differences.
Its high time for America to fight against terrorism that can be by making the ownership of guns a punishable offence and the anti-terrorism sqad should me indomitable with strict secrecy and it should have all the freedom to work the way they want to function and funds should be sufficient for them.
Iraq war: The forces from Iraq should be pulled back as a major portion of the resources even soldiers are wasted there, rather the concept of wars must be stopped and there should be powerful negotiations.
Old people: Make the elderly and the disabled get more funds and access to more help with their problems. Reduce prices of fuel so the working class aren’t the worst sufferers .
Media: There would be limitations for media too as they’re out of control. Advertising pays for them to print so they are never completely honest or fair. They’re paid not to be. They shouldn’t just be allowed to say anything they want because, as we’re learning the hard way, they often fabricate the news.
Juries. Juries are often not educated well enough to understand the decisions they make. They’re not professional court employees and we can’t expect them to rise to that level. Jury trials have glutted the court system and are slowing America from ever having a real sense of justice. Judges are experts and already make decisions on their own or with their peers. Jury trials are unnecessary and unreliable—they should be abolished.
The Two Political Party System: The two party-system and the winner-take-all results, increasingly fails to represent minority opinions, so most people, do not get involved in government. I would like to introduce a multiple party system

The rate of foreign students being mysteriously murdered in the span of 1 year is not a very light incident and I would take care of securing the students, especially the foreign and the judiciary would be stricter and as the crime rate is elevating especially with a lot of youth being in it, I would make the security and the Police department more stronger with latest aids in terms of technology and an effective Intelligence team.
War on Drugs: Another major problem is the amount of drug abuse and like the late Harry Browne used to say, "America needs to end its insane war on drugs." The horrible damage the "War on Drugs" has done to America is already much greater than most realize. It has populated our prisons with people that have done no crime against anyone while drugs worth millions of dollars are being consumed rendering the youth of USA incapable while they lead their life to death..

Eye disease is continuously increasing among the Americans over the last few years. Watching too much TV, music videos and suffering from sleeplessness have resulted in eye disease. Treatment to such chronic problems should be provided free and there must be more research encouraged in the advent of the new diseases with changing environmental conditions.
Research: The American Scientists also find more opportunities in Singapore to carry out the much debated stem cell research, I would like to encourage our scientists to avail all the facilities and funds to carry on with the R&D and maintaining the best standards in terms of Research as always. I would also like to encourage the alternative sources of biofuel, thus ending the rat race for the fossil fuels that already have marked USA as one of the most polluted nations, and thus look for non polluting renewable sources. The oceans are being largely polluted, oil spills can be treated by Bioleaching, and the other wastes can also be treated similarly by encouraging research on genetically modified microbes.
The use of corn should be reduced as that is leading to corn crisis being unavailable as a source of food. Being a super power, it is our responsibility to take care of other nations too, and promoting Genetically modified crops can solve many problems like lack of nutritious food in the underdeveloped nations and even these can be modified as per the requirements.
Islam: Muslims now number over three-million people in America, Muslims, because of the Koran, do not respect non-Muslims. Koran says that Muslims are superior to non-Muslims, this brings the differences.
Its high time for America to fight against terrorism that can be by making the ownership of guns a punishable offence and the anti-terrorism sqad should me indomitable with strict secrecy and it should have all the freedom to work the way they want to function and funds should be sufficient for them.
Iraq war: The forces from Iraq should be pulled back as a major portion of the resources even soldiers are wasted there, rather the concept of wars must be stopped and there should be powerful negotiations.
Old people: Make the elderly and the disabled get more funds and access to more help with their problems. Reduce prices of fuel so the working class aren’t the worst sufferers .
Media: There would be limitations for media too as they’re out of control. Advertising pays for them to print so they are never completely honest or fair. They’re paid not to be. They shouldn’t just be allowed to say anything they want because, as we’re learning the hard way, they often fabricate the news.
Juries. Juries are often not educated well enough to understand the decisions they make. They’re not professional court employees and we can’t expect them to rise to that level. Jury trials have glutted the court system and are slowing America from ever having a real sense of justice. Judges are experts and already make decisions on their own or with their peers. Jury trials are unnecessary and unreliable—they should be abolished.
The Two Political Party System: The two party-system and the winner-take-all results, increasingly fails to represent minority opinions, so most people, do not get involved in government. I would like to introduce a multiple party system
With the current economy in a devastated state, I would ensure enough job opportunities and security to every citizen who has the potential, thus to make every person employed and aiming at rendering America a stable economy and flourishing as the Super Power all throughout.

But Prime Minister Tony Blair stated that he is "against the death penalty, whether it is Saddam Hussein or anybody else."

TATA NANO'S ISSUE
Tata Nana- who is not aware of this long awaited car that gained so much of fame even before it hit the market and the proud Ratan Tata hit the headlines saying.” We kept our commitments” while the whole nation bowed to this man who could make every family own a car as he targets the vehicle as the least expensive production car in the world. Economic Times quoted, “Tata Nano’s launch could expand the Indian car market by 65%, according to rating agency CRISIL.” However, due to the current Singur land dispute, the "Stalled Car Factory" is "Costing Jobs, Splitting Neighbors in West Bengal”. There is growing tension in the villages near the Tata factory as the protests continue and the plant remains closed. While politicians for their baseless selfish motives pressurize neighbors by opposition groups to protest against the carmaker even if this project would provide livelihood to the many thousands of those villagers while the poor people around can also enjoy a good share by their little Business as this and develops and the population increases. Tata Motors is a large publicly traded firm. Its decision to locate the flagship Nano project in West Bengal provides an opportunity for West Bengal to make a return to industrial growth that was always a heritage ever since 1950s but in due time it was lost gradually.

The move is said to put up to Rs 80,000 cr at stake, but Ratan Tata has been in this trade since ages and he knew each state will want to accommodate this project worth crores and crores of rupees other than employment opportunities. Inspite of conitunuous requests by the CM Buddhadev Bhattacharjee to the opposition parties while External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said, “If a group like the Tatas leaves West Bengal it will be unfortunate … a major setback to industrialisation in the State, Mamata Bannerjee continued with her senseless voices while TOI commented that Madam Bannerjee hoping that her stubborn stand will yield electoral dividends in rural Bengal, it didn't matter if Tatas exit Singur. Even her own colleagues in Trinamool have got fed up and are equally frustrated with didi's arrogance but they don't dare go against her.” And as expected, the Tatas moved out of Singur and many economists consider this as beginning of the end for the economic and industrial development of the state. But Mamata Bannerjee continued with her stubborn protests for the few votes she expected to win and she went to an extent of even a 25-day hunger strike and presented affidavits of farmers apparently unwilling to part with their land. Mr. Tata moved out in October and specifically mentioned his frustration with the opposition movement at Singur Project led by Trinamool Congress chief Ms. Mamata Banerjee. However, Ms Banerjee refused to take responsibilities and instead pointed finger back to Tatas and the state government. There was a risk as commented by West Bengal Industry Minister Nirupam Sen who said that there was no legal provision under which the state government could return land to the farmers. This could result in lack of livelihood to protesting farmers and the poor farmers would be suffering for the consequences of our political leaders who would forget about all those farmers who supported them, once the elections were over. But the uneducated mass was too innocent to understand all this, while Tatas preferred shifting to Gujurat.
Dangers imposed by Nano:
As the Nano was conceived and designed around introducing the automobile to a sector of the population who are currently using eco-friendly bicycles and motorcycles, environmentalists are concerned that its extraordinarily low price might lead to mass motorization in countries like India and therefore possibly aggravate pollution and global warming as well as increase the demand for oil. But Mamata Bannerjee continued with her stubborn protests for the few votes she expected to win and she went to an extent of even a 25-day hunger strike and presented affidavits of farmers apparently unwilling to part with their land. Mr. Tata moved out in October and specifically mentioned his frustration with the opposition movement at Singur Project led by Trinamool Congress chief Ms. Mamata Banerjee. However, Ms Banerjee refused to take responsibilities and instead pointed finger back to Tatas and the state government. There was a risk as commented by West Bengal Industry Minister Nirupam Sen who said that there was no legal provision under which the state government could return land to the farmers. This could result in lack of livelihood to protesting farmers and the poor farmers would be suffering for the consequences of our political leaders who would forget about all those farmers who supported them, once the elections were over. But the uneducated mass was too innocent to understand all this, while Tatas preferred shifting to Gujurat.
Dangers imposed by Nano:
As the Nano was conceived and designed around introducing the automobile to a sector of the population who are currently using eco-friendly bicycles and motorcycles, environmentalists are concerned that its extraordinarily low price might lead to mass motorization in countries like India and therefore possibly aggravate pollution and global warming as well as increase the demand for oil. The ecology focused German newspaper die tageszeitung feels that such concerns are "inappropriate" as the Tata Nano has lower emissions compared to the average Volkswagen, and that developing countries shouldn't be denied the right to motorized mobility when industrialized countries should be looking to reduce their emissions and usage of cars. The Nano is also alleged to have severely affected the used car market in India, as many Indians opt to wait for the Nano's release rather than buying used cars.
But the boost Nano can give to the common man and also to the standard of living, all these little concerns can be neglected, foucssing on the benefits this project is providing. I consider the fact that the opposition parties, than joining hands for the development of the nation, in search of power and to win the seat, than helping in proper functioning, they are using the innocent people while no can hear their voices after they are left undone and the promises committed to them remain unheard and unheeded. Tata Nano issue, more than an industrialization issue, it is a Political system eye opener and the people chosen by us misguide us and mislead us, while we no more have a say than just to read the newspaper and accept Politics as “POLITICS”!

Terror attacks, bombs, deaths, suffering, innocent lives lost, panic, chaos, devastation, destruction- India has been witnessing this lately while the bomb attacks have become more like bursting crackers in the “Baraats”! It is very ironical that the number of people dying in stampede after farce bomb scares that has killed many hundreds of lives, just since the bombs have been just anywhere and everywhere and the fear is deeply embedded in the people everywhere and I even heard a little kid asking his mother.” Maa why are there so many bombs?” and actually none of us have an answer to this innocent question while we see little ones suffer and wonder.
The 2008 Mumbai attacks – look at this, we address the terror attack with a year to distinguish it between the other terror attacks as this is not the sole attack in Mumbai, while Mumbai is still not out of its woes of the previous blasts starting from 1993, there came another one to add on to the devastation at the cost of the innocent lives, but this time it was different, it was also aimed at the upper strata. The 2008 Mumbai attack was a series of ten coordinated terrorist attacks across Mumbai that began on 26 November 2008 and ended on 29 November 2008.At least 173 people were killed and at least 308 were injured in the attacks. The attacks across Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, the Oberoi Trident, the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Leopold Cafe, Cama Hospital,the Orthodox Jewish-owned Nariman House,the Metro Cinema,and a lane behind the Times of India building. There was also an explosion at the Mazagaon docks in Mumbai's port area, and a taxi blast at Vile Parle. Tracing these locations in the map, we’ll notice that the whole stretch of Mumbai was planted with bombs while there was no mercy for the patients in hospitals either, look at the brutality where Humane is more of an abuse than a concern, where pain is all that is given, forgetting all traits of Humanity. The Islam and their long term hated towards Jews was also evident here in India too with the attack on Nariman House where the Rabbi and his 5month pregnant wife lost their lives, for no fault of theirs.
Ajmal Amir Kasab,the only terrorist who was captured alive, disclosed that the attackers were members of Lashkar-e-Toiba, the Pakistan-based militant organization, considered a terrorist organization by India, the United States, and the United Kingdom, among others.The Indian Government said that the attackers came from Pakistan, and their controllers were in Pakistan. On January 7, 2009, after more than a month of denying the nationality of the attackers being Pakistani, Pakistan's Information Minister Sherry Rehman officially accepted Ajmal Amir's nationality as Pakistani.
There in Hotel Taj Palace a team of 200 commandoes had to fight while only two terrorists held some 40 hostages who included many eminent delegates round the world. Isn’t it shameful on our part to let this happen in this country while our Guests too have to feel this as our hospitality? Among the dead were 30 foreign nationals from 10 countries. Many of our brave commandoes had to fight at the cost of their lives and after this 3 day war ended, they all quietly moved out saying, ”it was their duty” after fighting for 3 long days incessantly. Salute to these brave warriors and I think this attack was an eye opener for all of us as we stood up saying” ENOUGH” and the after math was strong through out the world. The never heeded commandoes who work on the backdrop came to the scence for the first time and while we are busy considering Amitabh Bacchan, Shahrukh Khan, Dhoni as our heroes, we actually forget these real heroes. But after this attack, we realized how tough it is to spend so many sleepless nights in the arms of death, but we never show our gratitude towards those who have been saving our nation.
It’s a proud occasion that we proved to overpower the terrorists, but what is the assurance that one more is not our way? While people are burning candles, shouting slogans, showing their anguish, but how is it actually helping us stop terrorism? Isn’t there any way to stop this, while Pakistanis are busy preparing their youth by misleading them and this youth driven group comprised of the juvenile crowd, isn’t it sad that these young men of hardly 20 years who have no mind of their own are being motivated by their leaders to destroy innocent lives in the name of Religion? And what do we do? Make some Hindu Suicide Squads to show them that we too can act equally ridiculous, than fight terrorism that is a matter of concern for the whole world??

Communal riots!
A riot is a form of civil disorder characterized by disorganized groups lashing out in a sudden and intense rash of violence, vandalism or other crime. Riots often occur in reaction to a perceived grievance or out of dissent. Historically, the World has seen riots have occurring due to poor working or living conditions, government oppression, taxation or conscription, conflicts between races or religions (see race riot and pogrom), the outcome of a sporting event or frustration with legal channels through which to air grievances. Riots in India, have been dating since centuries that always had a positive motive unlike the political leaders who are using communal riots to break the Unity of our country for their own motives and for their selfish surge for Power. While we see Pramod Muthalik abusing women in the name of “respecting his sisters”, we see some Hindus creating chaos in the little districts of Orissa burning up the churches, in the name of ‘Revenge” for killing their spiritual leader. Communal riots are one of the major causes our country is not developing today. Starting from Jabalpur riot (1961), Hindu-Muslim riots have gone on and on, the last one being the horrific anti-Muslim pogrom in Gujarat, in the aftermath of burning of Sabarmati express at Godhra. These riots have been projected as Hindu Muslim riots The 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots was a 3-4 day period of communal violence against Sikhs. These riots were started by Congress led mobs in retaliation of the assassination of Prime minister Indira Gandhi by her two Sikh bodyguards (in revenge for Operation Bluestar). It is estimated that about 2,000 Sikhs were killed in the riots across India.
Lately Hindu mobs rampaged through this city in western India on Thursday, killing more than 60 people as they burned Muslims alive in their homes and set fire to Muslim-owned restaurants, shops, cars and apartments. The religious violence, the most serious India has experienced in years, was retaliation for a Muslim mob's attack Wednesday on a trainload of Hindu fundamentalists in which 58 people were burned to death in a single car. Such riots are just taken as any other common issue as we are immune now to so many such riots, especially in the Festivals, while people should celebrate in the spirit of festivity, we see all chaos and ridiculous riots. Baroda in Gujarat is another extremely communally sensitive place where of and on riots break out between Hindus and Muslims every year. On 18th April 2008, there violence erupted in Bhirari village when some people tried to set two Muslim families on fire. Again trouble began when some members of Bajrang Dal began to sing “mandir wahin banaenge” (we will construct temple at that place only). When some Muslims offering prayer at the time objected, trouble began. Indore was known for communal harmony but since BJP came to power in M.P. VHP and Bajrang Dal have become much stronger and of and on attack Muslims and Christians. The situation is all the same throughout the country. There is no mercy when it comes to Communal Riots while people are busy burning people alive, killing little children, burning houses, raping even nuns and the list of atrocities can just go more and more horrifying. We account for the maximum communal riots in the whole of Asia and while few riots even if had taken place decades back, but those in Gujarat are still to be healed while we notice our politicians supporting their religious groups openly. It is highly grievous to see some Hindu Suicide Squad to retaliate the suicide bombers. There is no check on the numerous religious groups being formed, there are Hindu Parishads, Ram Sena, Shiv Sena and I wouldn’t be shocked some 100s of more Senas who think God has empowered them to just rule while they are being backed by the sole Powerful set of people in our nation- the Politicians, whom we choose, whom we vote and ultimately they rob all of us and can just do anything they want while no one has powers to voice against them or even have the courage to oppose them. This is the state of INDIA.
This process is an ongoing series of connected issues, as Development is directly dependant on the Unity and while a diverse nation like India which is a hub for so many various religions and while our Constitution proclaims secularism, we are all busy seeing the Hindu-Muslim riots, Hindu- Christian riots, more interesting are the anti Tamils, anti – Maharashtra and anti every kind of religion, language, community, it just needs no barriers or basis to start communal Riots. While the Iyers and Iyengars themselves are not allowed to enter each other’s temples. Lately I see a new form of Riots by the Naxalites. These people losing hope on the politicians and majorly comprising the poor, ignored people are standing up for their own voice and through some real violence they want their demands to be fulfilled. When a country is shattered based on religion, language, belief, and whiles the uneducated mass is being moved by the Political leaders and their groups, we expect to develop while our backbone itself is broken to pieces? History is proof enough how communal riots have never contributed in any constructive form while the under- developed nations are still in that state despite the enormous natural resources they possess, but it all goes for a waste since it is not utilized as a whole. While all the energy, focus and attention is diverted to such baseless petty issues, there is no scope for Improvement, may it be anything. “United we stand, Divided we fall”. This is not just a saying, but imagines Indians working as a whole, no religion, no caste, no state, we are all one! And it wouldn’t be long to achieve the “Developed State.”

India after 60 years
India after 60 years of independence has seen a lot of changes, might not be in terms of what our freedom fighters had dreamt of while fighting for our Independence, but otherwise India today stands with a different face and 60 years from now when I’ll in my eighties I see an era of Technological Advancement, a world of Greenery, a Happier world, a Super Power- and finally a “Developed Nation.”
There would be a great boost to the Research and Development and the Scientists who are never well paid, will now on also enjoy a great salary at par with the Executives. Any common man and especially the children would be encouraged to perform their research, after a convincing concept and the Infrastructure would be provided by the Government. This is to encourage young, fresh and dynamic ideas, which Indians are deprived of. The schools and colleges will ensure 100% education for all the students for free and the course would be up to date and more of practical lessons than theoretical. With regard to the laws, the courts would revive their laws and upgrade them and more focus on immediate action would be given and there would be efficient and honest people taking care of the law and order. Honest politicians with motive to serve the nation and who are educated will only be allowed to enjoy the power of the seat and the gap between the politicians and the mass should be very small.
The hospitality sector would be booming along with the Aviation Industry. With the improvement of standard of living, people would be looking forward to great service and the hotels would be serving multi cuisine dishes, starting from Italian to Egyptian, from Australian to Brazilian, all under the same roof! Transportation would be much faster with the option of hiring an aircraft, even owning one. Emergency medical aids can be provided via Helicopters along with all facilities. It will be a world of Power and no poverty or helplessness. The rural sectors may be retained as it is our Identity, but the Rural people will no longer be deprived of health or education facilities. Each and every house will have a water Harvester and each house will have its own sewage and waste treatment facility.
The farmers can now sell their crops and vegetables and fruits directly in neat, healthy outlets and can even export individually by growing them on mobile farms. The houses built amidst water can also enjoy an added facility by such mobile shops. The building would be Multi utility ones with the same building bearing the office and homes of an individual.
It’s a world of smiles when I think of 2068, as the corruption would have come to an end after reaching its peak and thus would decline and I expect youth to actively participate in the Politics. Let’s hope to see
